Overview

If you’re searching for an authentic taste of Singapore in Metro Manila, Flock Chicken Rice 群海南鸡饭 is a standout spot worth visiting. Nestled in BF Homes, Parañaque, this Singaporean restaurant offers more than just a meal—it serves a heartfelt slice of Singaporean culinary tradition, handed down directly from the owners’ family recipes.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly their fragrant Hainanese chicken rice. The chicken is perfectly steamed—tender and juicy—while the rice carries a rich aroma that’s subtle yet inviting. What elevates the experience are the trio of sauces: chili, ginger, and dark soy, each layered with nuanced flavors that complement the chicken and rice beautifully. It’s a dish that embodies comfort without overwhelming complexity.

Beyond the chicken rice, the crispy garlic pork is a must-try. It strikes a perfect balance between crispy texture and savory garlic seasoning, making it an excellent partner to the main dish. Another highlight is the roasted pork, which maintains a crunchy skin even after hours—testament to the kitchen’s skill and attention to detail. For a satisfying finish, the kaya toast delights with its warm crispiness and luxuriously creamy spread, offering just the right sweetness without being cloying.

The restaurant’s ambiance complements the food well. The space is cozy and minimalist, designed for comfort rather than ostentation. Its friendly, attentive staff adds a personal touch to the dining experience; staff members like Jena go the extra mile, sharing tips on how best to enjoy each dish. This interaction enriches the visit, making it more than just a place to eat, but a place to learn and savor.

Flock Chicken Rice caters especially to those craving genuine Singaporean flavors crafted with care and authenticity. While the coffee received mixed feedback, the food itself resonates strongly with patrons looking for comforting, well-balanced dishes free from heavy seasoning or artificial additives. Their weekend specials, such as the chili crab, hint at a menu that’s evolving with exciting possibilities.

Finding parking can be a bit of a hurdle, so plan accordingly. However, once inside, the comforting flavors and warm hospitality make the effort worthwhile. Whether you’re a fan of classic chicken rice or eager to explore Singaporean cuisine beyond the usual, Flock Chicken Rice offers a genuine, heartfelt experience that will keep you coming back.

If you're looking for a taste of authentic Singaporean comfort food, you have to check out Flock Chicken Rice. My partner and I had such a great meal here. The star of the show, of course, is the fragrant chicken rice. It was perfectly cooked and had a wonderful aroma that made it delicious even on its own. What really makes it stand out are the sauces—the chili, ginger, and dark soy sauce were all amazing and added so much flavor. We also ordered the crispy garlic pork, and it was a fantastic choice. The pork was perfectly fried and seasoned with lots of garlic, making it a great pairing with the fragrant rice. The Kaya Toast was a great way to end the meal; the toast was perfectly crispy and warm, and the kaya jam was rich and creamy without being overly sweet. The restaurant has a cozy, minimalist vibe, but what truly makes the experience special is the friendly staff. A special shoutout to Jena, who was so welcoming and even taught us the best way to eat the food to bring out all the best flavors. Her recommendation made our meal even more enjoyable! If you're craving some delicious and authentic Singaporean food, Flock Chicken Rice is a must-visit!

Very hands on owner! Great singaporean food around the area. Complimentary soup was amazing! Steamed chicken and roast pork combo was tender and flavorful! Was expecting the coffee to be authentic as well, unfortunately it was a let down. I got mine with a sour note and not as strong. Hopefully next time it will be better. Will still come back for the food.

It's my nth time here and these are my thoughts. If you're looking for authentic chicken rice other than TB, WNK and NN— this is it. According to the staffs, the owners are singaporean and everything on the menu is from their family's recipe, everything poured over from their heart. Our go-to: Roasted Pork with chicken rice - not your normal roasted pork. The pork itself is flavorful and the skin is still crunchy after hours of it being hanged on display (what sorcery was that guys? Amazeballs) Latte - said on the menu, they specialize in specialty coffee, and yes— the coffee is on point. Tbh, the coffee is not so sweet. You can opt for a sugar or splenda based on your liking. Crispy garlic pork - Honestly, good for two sya pero hindi namin maubos kasi busog na kami sa meal but its soooooo good! Bacon-like strips then may honey making it sweet and fried garlic chunks. Just... Fried sya so expectation is mag settle sa bottom yung oil... so yeah. Kaya toast - As someone who likes sweets... this is . Me and my partner's personal favorite. You can have it all day. They don't have a wide range of options for the toast & the set doesn't come w kopi like other restau offers and maybe that's something they can think of. They also offer weekend specials (i accidentally deleted the pic)!!!!! The chili crab they had was . I hope they will stick it to their menu (hoping ). If you r just randomly scrolling down here in the review section and you saw my long review— HOPE IT HELPS! **Parking can be a challenge. No parking space means no parking space talaga.

I’ve been craving Singaporean food for weeks and finally gave in and let me just say, it was so worth it. Me and my partner ordered the Hainanese chicken rice and every bite felt like a warm, nostalgic hug. The flavors were bold, comforting, and exactly what I needed. Cravings satisfied, heart (and stomach) full. ???????? Will come back again!

Great food! Ordered the hainanese rice, chicken gizzard, liver and crispy pork. The flavor was light and well balanced, no heavy seasoning which was great. Crispy pork was very delicious. For drinks, i had iced horlics, it was creamy and not to sweet. The complimentary soup was also good to, you know that it was simmered for long hours. Service staff was also fast and friendly. Kudos to the chef/ owner for the great food! Its hard to find good singaporean food nowadays that doesnt use heavy seasoning/msg. The price is also good, we spent ₱1200. Will definitely be eat here again when we go to BF area. *pls update your social media :) There was no menu and recent updates. Would be helpful for future diners:)

I’m not really a fan of Singaporean cuisine, but this place made me reconsider. The chicken rice genuinely changed the way I think about the dish. It was simply good, comforting, and well-executed. The kaya toast was good as well, and the coffee was decent. Overall, a solid spot that does things right without trying too hard. Would come back.
